Special Thanks

I would like to give special thanks to two extraordinary gentlemen that have provided me with so much help to get to where I am today. I couldn't have done it without them, and I hope they know just how much their mentorship, teaching, and advice has helped me in my career and life.

Dr. Randy Hurd

Assistant Professor

Dr. Hurd has been my mentor for the past 3 years as I've navigated the undergraduate portion of my academic career. He's an expert in the realm of experimental and visual fluid dynamics and he's served an essential role in developing my skills as a researcher and engineer. He's intelligent and kind and I can't thank him enough for how much he's improved my career and blessed my life!

Dr. Tariq Arif

Assistant Professor

Dr. Arif has been my mentor for the past 2 years as I've rounded out my Junior and Senior year of my Bachelor's degree. He's an expert in robotics and artificial intelligence and has published research in controls, computer vision, and biomedical simulation. He has equipped me with most of the knowledge and skills I use for my robotics projects, including robot kinematics, python, Arduino, sensors & control theory, and MATLAB. He is absolutely brilliant, patient, and selfless. He has helped me develop my career as a roboticist substantially and I can never repay him for the opportunities he has created for me.

About Me

Hi! I’m a mechanical engineer with a passion for building cool things—whether it’s a humanoid robot, a hydroelectric RC car, or a trebuchet that launches softballs! I earned my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Weber State University in 2023, where I also conducted research on humanoid telepresence robotics and experimental fluid dynamics. I’m especially drawn to hands-on design work and love seeing ideas come to life in SolidWorks and on the shop floor. Outside of engineering, you’ll probably find me on the tennis court, watching a great movie, or planning my next travel adventure. I’m always up for a new challenge that lets me blend creativity with technical problem-solving.
